An IT Company with High Expectations

The expert staff at DCNC has been supporting businesses with professional IT services since 1998. Our philosophy is simple: Provide extraordinary service while maintaining a family-oriented culture. That includes upholding our core values as we strive to build long-lasting relationships with our clients and our community.

Over the years, we’ve worked with a variety of businesses, each on their own unique path of digital transformation and growth. Our team understands adopting new technologies can be challenging, and we’re proud to be here to help.

John Hardon - President

In 1998 I joined a small start-up computer network design company, DCNC Inc. At the time, we were a 4 person team designing networks for small businesses in the north metro area. Prior to that, I worked in the banking industry, both in the daily operations and IT department of a local bank. Before that, I worked in the food service industry and owned a small pizza business. In 2015, I became the president of DCNC, inc., now a company of over 20 employees that meets the computer network needs of businesses of all sizes, nationwide.

While not a true Colorado native, having moved from southern California as a 5-year-old, the Denver area has always been home to me and my family. My wife of more than 35 years (and high school sweetheart) and I have raised 2 smart, active, and unique boys. Our oldest, Ryan, works in the IT industry and has competed in world bearding competitions. Our youngest, Steven, utilizes his degree in business administration in the financial industry and continues to play on multiple sports teams. Both boys are married and have started families of their own, so Stephani and I downsized from our big two-story house in Thornton to a great house in Fort Collins. This was our goal since we left Fort Collins after she graduated from Colorado State University. We love attending CSU events and becoming part of a new community. While I am very proud of both my boys and enjoy talking sports and beer with them, there is really nothing better than the fact that they have made me a grandpa.

My expectation is that DCNC will provide extraordinary service to our clients and meet or exceed the high expectations that we set for ourselves while maintaining the family-oriented feel that we strive to cultivate on a regular basis. If there is ever a time when we fail to do this, please feel free to contact me.

Pete Jones - Executive Vice President

I’ve been part of the DCNC family for over 20 years.  I’ve seen it grow from a 5 person team that was flying by the seat of our pant, often making stuff up as we went, to a team of over 20 highly qualified and trained individuals.  We started with a couple of banks and a few law firms, trusting us to crawl around in their ceilings to run cabling and ultimately networking their computers together.  My how things have changed.  I am now a principle owner and Executive Vice President of DCNC and am proud of the transition we have made to being one of the premier Managed Service Providers in the country.

I grew up in the Napa Valley of California and spent a great deal of time experiencing the wine country culture, working at various wineries in my younger days.  I met my wife Stacie during that time and we’ve been married for 25 years.  We moved to Colorado shortly after that and have raised our two daughters in the north Denver area.

When I can escape from the office, I spend the time on long bike rides, watching high school girls’ soccer games, and spending time with my family. My oldest will soon be a Colorado State Ram and my youngest keeps us busy with her high school activities.

I am deeply committed to the vision that “every interaction creates success” and a take a person interest in all our clients and their needs.

Derek Burnham - Vice President

In 2010 I left my home state of Montana to be closer to some extended family in Colorado.  We landed in Fort Collins, but in my search for just the right company, I found DCNC here in Denver. I knew right away they were the perfect fit for what I was looking for, and I have been making the daily commute from Fort Collins ever since!
I have been in the IT industry for over 25 years, landing my first in-house IT job at 19 while still attending Montana State University.  Over the years I have worked for non-profits, Internet Service Providers, owned my own IT Consulting company, worked for a giant corporation with 44,000 employees worldwide, and finally landed at DCNC,  where my passion and expertise for IT were a perfect fit.    Starting as a Systems Engineer, working my way up to Director of Operations, and then on to my current position as Vice President, I have a unique perspective on all things DCNC. I use that knowledge daily to help grow and shape our company to be the very best it can be, for our employees and our clients.
When I manage to sneak away from work, I spend my free time cycling, fishing, hiking, hunting, and trying to keep up with the last child at home, our daughter Macie.  I lovingly refer to her as my princess tomboy as she is equal parts of each.  Watch for her fishing on the shores of Horsetooth in her fancy dress, standing barefoot in the mud.  I’m also very proud of our oldest son Kyler, who graduated from Adams State University, with a Business degree.  My oldest, beautiful daughter Kendra moved back to Montana, is happily married to her high school sweetheart, and believe it or not, I am the proud Grandpa of two amazing grandsons, Braydon and Jude.

Lauren Wood - Office Administrator

I’m DCNC’s Office Administrator- you may recognize my name from my monthly invoice emails!
I oversee the administrative side of DCNC- primarily financial, invoicing and HR. I have past experience as a firm administrator for a law firm and am pleased to continue working with so many law firms, though I am eternally grateful to never have to work with TimeSlips again!
I am a Colorado native and one of my passions is hiking- all over Colorado and beyond! I like to combine my love of travel and hiking and have taken hiking trips to Utah, Washington, Nevada, Canada, Belize and Guatemala. I recently got to visit Iceland! On the weekends you will find me spending time with my husband (we were married in 2016) and our dog, a terrier named Jeff Bridges. We recently bought our first house near Cherry Creek State Park and are regulars at the dog park there. Being a homeowner, weekends are now often filled with projects at home which allows me to hone my DIY skills. I love to read and have an encyclopedic knowledge of King of the Hill episodes. My favorite type of music is 1950’s classics, especially Sam Cooke and Etta James. I also really enjoy cooking- my jalapeno cheddar cornbread received great acclaim at this year’s DCNC chili cook-off!

Dana Edgerton - Regional Sales Manager

When I graduated from the University of Reno, Nevada with a Marketing degree, I pictured myself running a large advertising company in New York City, wearing some killer heels and having my driver taking me all over to meet my clients. And while I’m hoping this may be happening in an alternate universe, the “Dana” on this cosmos has found a passion in working with people in solution-driven environments.

Over the last 20+ years, I have partnered with various industries to thoughtfully and successfully move their organizations forward on short- and long-term goals. From heavy civil proposal execution to project management, to new homes sales and IT managed services, I have demonstrated that successful partnerships come from authenticity at every turn, top-notch customer service and a win-win mindset. These are just a few qualities that drew me to join the DCNC team in 2022 – and has me enthusiastic to make sure you know this team too.

Outside of those college years, Colorado has been my home and it has been the perfect place for me to raise two kids with my husband, a good ole Iowa boy). We are a very active family, and you can usually find us traveling, spending time on the lake, working on a project around the house (my husband is a contractor so I abuse that as often as I can) having dance offs in the kitchen or pampering our golden-doodle Charlotte, aka “Charlie”. And yes, I do still find those times to rock some killer heels.
